Honor MagicBook X 16 (2024) Lands in Malaysia for RM2,999 With 12th Gen Intel Chip

Aside from the Honor X7b 5G, the Chinese company also launched the Honor MagicBook X 16 (2024) in Malaysia. The main appeal of the productivity laptop is certainly its affordability with a large display, though it also has a…rather dated Intel processor.

For the Malaysian market, only one variant of the MagicBook X 16 is offered here. Priced at RM2,999, the laptop features a 12th gen Intel Core i5-12450H processor – which was first introduced back in 2022 – along with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. Every purchase of the laptop also comes with RM468 worth of freebies, including an Honor backpack and a one-year subscription to Microsoft 365.

Rounding out the specifications of the MagicBook X 16 include a sizeable 16-inch 1920 x 1200 IPS display with a 16:10 aspect ratio and conventional 60Hz refresh rate, Intel UHD integrated graphics, a 17.9mm chassis that weighs 1.68kg, Windows 11 Home out of the box, and a 42Wh battery that promises up to 7.5 hours of “daily office work,” as the company puts it.

The Honor MagicBook X 16 (2024) will be available for purchase in Malaysia from 25 April onwards this Thursday. As mentioned, only one variant of the laptop is offered here, which is priced at RM2,999 with a Core i5-12450H processor, 8GB RAM, and 512GB storage.
