Honor Malaysia launched a slew of new products in Malaysia today, including the Honor X7b 5G. Now sporting 5G connectivity, this variant of the affordable smartphone features a new chipset, the MediaTek Dimensity 6020.
Naturally, the new Honor X7b 5G is also slightly more expensive than its 4G counterpart. Priced at RM899 for 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, it costs RM100 more than the 4G-only X7b at launch. Of course, it is still very much an affordable phone.
Other specifications of the Honor X7b 5G remain the same. These include a 6.8-inch 2412 x 1080 display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a triple camera system (108MP primary + 2MP macro + 2MP depth), an 8MP selfie camera, and a 6,000mAh battery with support for 35W fast charging.
The Honor X7b 5G will be available for purchase in Malaysia this Thursday on 25 April. To recap, the sole 8GB + 256GB variant of the phone is priced at RM899. While it does cost slightly more over the 4G-only model of the X7b, you are getting 5G connectivity and improved performance out of the Dimensity 6020 chip with the 5G version.
