Honor Malaysia launched a slew of devices in Malaysia today. Aside from the Magic 5 Pro and the Magic Vs foldable phone, the company also unveiled the standard Honor Magic 5 on our shores. Interestingly, Malaysia is said to be the only market outside of China to get the smartphone.
Only one variant of the Magic 5 is available in Malaysia. Featuring 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, the flagship phone costs RM3,499 locally. It’s also available in two distinct colourways: Glacier Blue and Black.

Compared to its Pro sibling, the standard Honor Magic 5 has slightly different hardware. While it’s still powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, it has a more modest triple camera system made up of a 54MP main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide shooter, and a 32MP telephoto camera with 2.5x optical zoom or 50x digital zoom.
Rounding out the hardware of the Magic 5 are a 6.73-inch 2688 x 1224 LTPO OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 12MP selfie camera, an IP68 rating, a 5,100mAh battery with 66W fast charging, as well as MagicOS 7.1 based on Android 13 out of the box.

The Honor Magic 5 will be available in Malaysia on 28 April for RM3,499. Early birds can get freebies worth over RM700, which includes a Bluetooth speaker, a one-year extended warranty, and a 180-day screen crack protection.
