Honor Magic Vs Foldable Phone Lands in Malaysia for RM5,999

Aside from the Honor Magic 5 series, the Chinese company also introduced a foldable phone in Malaysia, the Honor Magic Vs. It is a slightly upgraded version of the original Magic V – which was launched early last year – and naturally, it sports a number of high-end features.

For the Malaysian market, the Magic Vs retails at a cool RM5,999 for the sole 12GB + 512GB model. It will be available for pre-order later today, and early birds can get freebies worth over RM2,200, which looks to include a coffee machine of sorts too.

The foldable phone can also be purchased in two different colours: Cyan and Black.

Under the hood of the Magic Vs is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. While it’s not the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Soc, it should still be able to deliver the performance level of a proper flagship smartphone. Aside from that, the Magic Vs also has a larger 5,000mAh battery now (250mAh more) than the Magic V with support for 66W fast charging.

Other specifications of the Magic Vs include a familiar 7.9-inch 2272 x 1984 OLED foldable display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a 6.45-inch 2560 x 1080 OLED cover screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, a triple camera system (54MP primary + 50MP ultra-wide + 8MP telephoto), and a 16MP selfie camera.

To recap, the Honor Magic Vs will be available for pre-oder in Malaysia later today for RM5,999, undercutting its main competition – the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, which starts at RM6,799 – by quite a bit.
