Realme just launched the Realme GT 7 Pro in Malaysia, and it is the first smartphone on our shores to be powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. On top of that, it is also priced quite competitively for a flagship device from the Chinese company.
For the Malaysian market, only one variant of the GT 7 Pro is offered here. Packed with 12GB RAM and 512GB of storage, the phone retails at RM3,699. Two colour options are available locally: Mars Orange – the model you see here – as well as Galaxy Grey.
Naturally, the highlight of the GT 7 Pro is its Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Featuring a second generation Qualcomm Oryon CPU, the new chip promises up to 45% faster single-core and multi-core performances compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Gaming performance has been enhanced by up to 40% as well along with improved power efficiency.
Other specifications of the GT 7 Pro include a 6.78-inch 2780 x 1264 AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, a triple camera system (50MP primary + 50MP telephoto + 8MP ultra-wide), a 16MP selfie camera, IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance, as well as a very generous 6,500mAh battery with 120W charging.
The Realme GT 7 Pro will be available for purchase in Malaysia tomorrow on 19 November. Priced at RM3,699, early birds can get freebies worth RM698, including a one-year extended warranty and the Realme Buds Air 5 wireless earbuds.
