A couple of months ago, the Mercedes-Ben GLC 350e 4Matic plug-in hybrid (PHEV) was introduced in Malaysia. Today, we have the Mercedes-Benz GLC 350e 4Matic Coupe, and as its name suggests, the new PHEV is a lower-slung, sportier version of the GLC.
Of course, the GLC 350e Coupe also carries a heftier RM425,888 price tag over the regular GLC 350e, which is priced at RM398,888. For that kind of money, it is powered by the same 2.0L turbo engine that does 150kW (204hp) and 320Nm of torque.
The engine is paired to an electric motor rated at 100kW (134hp) with 440Nm of torque, and in total, the GLC 350e Coupe has a combined output of 230kW (313hp) and 550Nm peak torque. This allows the GLC to hit 0-100kmph in 6.7 seconds to a top speed of 220kmph.
As for battery capacity, the GLC 350e Coupe has a 31.2kWh battery that is good for a quoted range of over 100km measured on the stringent WLTP cycle. While it doesn’t support fast DC charging like the E350e – which has a similar powertrain – it has an 11kW AC onboard charger that is capable of fully charging the battery in two hours.
Aside from the GLC 350e Coupe, five other new Mercedes-Benz models are also showcased today. These include the AMG GLC 43 Coupe, AMG GLE 63S, GLE 63S Coupe, the sexy AMG SL 63, and the huge AMG G 63. If you want to check out these new Mercedes-Benz models – and even test drive them – you can do so at the Luxury Like No Other event at Mercedes-Benz Autohaus in Mutiara Damansara from today until 10 November. You can register your interest for the event right here.
