Mercedes-Benz is introducing quite a number of new models in Malaysia. Aside from the new sixth generation E-Class, the German carmaker also unveiled the Mercedes-Ben GLC 350e 4Matic plug-in hybrid (PHEV) on our shores, complete with the sporty AMG Line styling.
For the Malaysian market, the GLC 350e 4Matic is priced at a cool RM398,888; on-the-road pricing with the inclusion of 10% sales tax. For that kind of money, the luxury SUV is propelled by a 2.0L turbo engine that does 150kW (204hp) and 320Nm of torque.
Of course, as the GLC 350 4Matic is a PHEV, it also has an electric motor rated at 100kW with 440Nm of torque. Combined with the 2.0L turbo engine, the SUV has a total output of 230kW (313hp) and 550Nm peak torque. This allows the SUV to hit 0-100kmph in 6.7 seconds to a top speed of 218kmph.
As for battery capacity, the GLC 350 4Matic has a 25.4kWh battery that is good for a range of up to 131km measured on the stringent WLTP cycle. While it doesn’t support fast DC charging like the E350e, it has an 11kW AC onboard charger that is capable of fully charging the battery in two hours.
The Mercedes-Benz GLC 350e 4Matic AMG Line can now be booked in Malaysia. To recap, the PHEV SUV carries a RM398,888 price tag on our shores; that’s on-the-road pricing with 10% sales tax included.
