Mercedes-Benz just introduced the sixth generation E-Class in Malaysia. Consisting of the Mercedes-Benz E200 Avantgarde and E350e AMG Line, these business sedans are mild and plug-in hybrid models respectively, and they are locally assembled right here in Malaysia.

While both the E350e and E200 feature the same 2.0L turbo engine that outputs 150kW (204hp) and 320Nm of torque paired to a 9G-Tronic automatic transmission, the E350e has a more powerful electric motor that does 95kW and 440Nm of torque. Thanks to this, it has a combined output of 230kW (313hp) and 550Nm torque for a 0-100kmph time of 6.4 seconds with a top speed of 236kmph.
Aside from that, the E350e also has an all-electric range of 100km to 118km measured on the stringent WLTP cycle. The sedan supports 55kW DC charging as well, which can fully charge the 25.4kWh battery – of which 19.5kWh is usable for electric operation – in 30 minutes. For AC charging, the E350e can pull 11kW of power for a full charge in about two hours.
As for the E200, it has a mild hybrid system that delivers an additional 17kW of power and 205Nm of torque, allowing it to complete the century sprint in 7.5 seconds with a top speed of 240kmph.
