The Road Transport Department (JPJ) just announced its latest list of product recalls in Malaysia affecting Toyota, Mercedes-Benz, as well as motorcycle brands Boon Siew Honda and Suzuki. Of the models affected, the Toyota Vios make up the majority of the recall, accounting for 24,354 units.
As shared by JPJ, all Vios models manufactured between March 2023 to February 2024 are part of the recall, which explains why there are over 24,354 affected units. As for Mercedes-Benz, various models were listed by JPJ, some of which include the EQS 580 4Matic (four units), GLE 53 4Matic+ (75 units), and EQB 350 4Matic (255 units).
Aside from that, Boon Siew Honda is also affected by the recall; more specifically, 205 units of the CBR250RR manufactured in 2022. As for Suzuki Malaysia, the 2023 V-Strom 800 DE (220 units) and 2024 Burgman Street EX (125 units) are being recalled.
If you’re affected by the product recall, you will be contacted by the respective brands. All costs to rectify the issue will be borne by the brand, and if you suspect your model is affected by the recall, you can get in touch with the company for confirmation; it’s better to be safe than sorry.
