Right before Genshin Impact’s Version 2.4 update goes live this Wednesday on 5 January, Mihoyo is teasing a brand new character in the game – well, sort of. The character is none other than Yae Miko, who has appeared in the Inazuma storyline. With this teaser, there’s a good chance she will be playable in Version 2.5.

After all, previous characters that were teased by Mihoyo were eventually playable in the next version update of Genshin Impact. These include Shenhe, Yun Jin, Arataki Itto, Gorou, and of course, the Raiden Shogun herself.

As shown in-game, Yae holds an Electro vision, and the teaser confirms that she is indeed an Electro character. Given her importance in the lore of Genshin Impact, there’s a good chance she is also a 5-star character. Unfortunately, it’s not revealed yet what kind of weapon she wields.

Looking back at Mihoyo’s previous Genshin Impact teasers, we’re confident Yae Miko will be playable in Version 2.5 of Genshin Impact. The new update should be released after Ganyu’s and Zhongli’s banners end on 15 February – expect Yae to make her debut then.
