The 2020 Honda City is proving to be a popular choice in the B-segment sedan market. Previously, Honda Malaysia revealed that 9,000 bookings have been placed for the new City with over 2,400 units delivered. Well, that number has now grown to over 5,100.
According to Paul Tan, which got in touch with Honda Malaysia, total deliveries of the 2020 City stands at 5,100 units at the end of November. As a point of comparison, only 2,203 units of the Proton X50 – which was launched just two weeks after the City – have been delivered by the end of last month.

No variant breakdown of units delivered for the new City, though it’s worth noting that the V trim – the range-topping petrol variant of the B-segment sedan – make up 54% of total bookings for the City. The top-of-the-line RS e:HEV model is not taken into account, given that it is only set to be available here sometime in January 2021.
Anyway, under the hood of the S, E, and V variants of the City is the same 1.5L DOHC i-VTEC engine that outputs 121PS and 145Nm of torque. It is paired to a continuously variable transmission (CVT) with drive sent to the front wheels. The V model gets 16-inch alloy wheels, while the more affordable S and E trims get 15-inch alloys.
