You Can Now Get the 2020 Honda City With RM2,000 Discount

The all-new 2020 Honda City was officially launched in Malaysia just a couple of months ago, but you can already get the B-segment sedan with RM2,000 discount. This is offered by Honda Malaysia itself as part of its 12.12 Special Sales campaign.

Of course, there are a number of caveats. For one, only the S and E variants of the City are eligible for the RM2,000 discount; the higher-end V variant is not a part of the promotion. On top of that, only bookings made until 12 December will be eligible for the discount.

Even though you are required to place a booking for the City by 12 December to enjoy the RM2,000 discount, you do have until 31 December 2020 to register your City. Of course, you will be able to take advantage of the 100% sales tax exemption from the government as well, which is only valid until the end of this year. Refer to the table above for the prices before and after tax exemption.

Under the hood of the S and E variants of the new City is a 1.5L DOHC i-VTEC engine that outputs 121PS and 145Nm of torque. It is paired to a continuously variable transmission (CVT) with drive sent to the front wheels. Speaking of which, these two models also feature 15-inch alloys.

As for safety, the S and E City come with four airbags, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA), Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), Hill Start Assist (HSA), ISOFIX anchor points, and rear seatbelt reminder.

Honda Malaysia’s 12.12 Special Sales promotion for the 2020 Honda City is certainly a good opportunity for folks that are interested to get the S or E variants of the new B-segment sedan. It would’ve been great if the V model can enjoy the RM2,000 discount as well, but given that it accounts for 54% of total bookings, perhaps Honda Malaysia wants to focus on the other two variants instead.
