Aside from the Xiaomi 12, the Chinese company also introduced the larger Xiaomi 12 Pro. Not only does it feature a bigger, sharper OLED screen, the Pro model also offers much faster charging rate and a more sophisticated camera system.
First, let’s talk about price. Compared to the Xiaomi 12 (3,699 Yuan), the Xiaomi 12 Pro is priced higher at 4,699 yuan – that’s about RM3,095. Of course, for 1,000 yuan more (approximately RM655), the Pro does offer a number of neat upgrades, such as 120W fast wired charging. Wirelessly, it can do 50W charging, just like the standard model.
Aside from that, the Xiaomi 12 Pro features a more capable triple camera setup too. It is made up of a 50MP primary shooter, a 50MP ultra-wide angle sensor, and a 50MP telephoto camera. It’s worth noting that the regular model doesn’t even have a zoom lens, opting for a macro shooter instead.
Rounding out the specifications of the Xiaomi 12 Pro include the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, a 6.73-inch 3200 x 1440 OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, a 32MP selfie camera, as well as a 4,600mAh battery.
Just like the Xiaomi 12, the Xiaomi 12 Pro has only been announced for China. No word yet on its availability outside of the region, though we’re confident it’s only a matter of time before the Xiaomi 12 Pro is also launched in other markets, including Malaysia.
