Video: Akko CS Jelly Black Sound Test on the Ikki68 Aurora

Touted as the heaviest switch in Akko’s CS series with a 50g actuation force, the Akko CS Jelly Black is a budget-friendly linear switch with a clacky sound profile and a dustproof stem, much like the CS Starfish. How affordable is it? Well, it costs less than RM1 per switch.

Although the Jelly Black doesn’t get the Starfish’s two-stage spring, it still has a long 22mm spring. This makes for a “snappy” typing experience with stronger, more responsive upstrokes. Pushing down on the switch from the very top of the downstroke requires more force as well thanks to the long spring – a typing characteristic some folks may be fond of.

Aside from the Akko CS Jelly Black and the aforementioned Starfish, we also received the Jelly Blue and CS Sponge tactile switches from Akko. Stay tuned for our review – and sound test – of these switches!
