Samsung Galaxy A72, A52 & A32 Malaysian Pricing Revealed – Starts at RM1,099

Samsung Malaysia just revealed the local pricing of its new Galaxy A smartphones. These include the Galaxy A32, Galaxy A32 5G, Galaxy A52, as well as the range-topping Galaxy A72. Retailing from RM1,099, the latest Galaxy A smartphones are relatively affordable.

Of course, the RM1,099 starting price is for the Galaxy A32 with 128GB of storage and 8GB RAM. A tier up is the Galaxy A32 5G with the same storage and RAM capacities for RM1,199. Another tier up the price bracket is the Galaxy A52 with 256GB of storage and 8GB RAM, which retails at RM1,499. Finally, there’s the highest-end Galaxy A72 (256GB/8GB) for RM1,899.

Out of the four devices, the Galaxy A72 is naturally the most exciting one. For RM1,899, it offers a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G chipset, a rather sophisticated quad camera system (64MP f/1.8 primary + 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide angle + 8MP f/2.4 telephoto + 5MP f/2.4 macro), as well as an IP67 rating – not a feature you typically find on a mid-range smartphone.

Other specifications of the Galaxy A72 include a 6.7-inch 1080p Super AMOLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, a 32MP selfie camera, a microSD card slot, as well as a generous 5,000mAh battery, which is able to return very good battery life in our testing so far.

To recap, the 2021 Samsung Galaxy A series retails from RM1,099 to RM1,899 in Malaysia, and they will be available for purchase from 26 March onwards. If you’re not sure if the Galaxy A72 is for you, then check out our hands-on of the phone.
