Although the Nothing Phone 1’s Malaysian pricing have been revealed, its actual availability here still remains a mystery. Well, it has just passed through SIRIM, so there’s a good chance the phone will be launched in Malaysia soon.
In our routine search through SIRIM, the Nothing Phone 1 was registered with the certification body just yesterday on 14 July under Zitron Fulfilment. All electronics have to be certified by SIRIM first before they can be officially sold here, so it’s not far-fetched to assume the Phone 1 will be sold here soon.

Retailing from RM2,399 in Malaysia, the Nothing Phone 1 features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ chipset with 5G connectivity, which should be more than capable to provide a fast, zippy user experience. This is complemented by the phone’s equally speedy 6.55-inch 1080p OLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate.
Other specifications of the Nothing Phone 1 include a dual camera system (50MP primary + 50MP ultra-wide angle), a 16MP selfie camera, an IP53 rating, an in-screen fingerprint sensor, and a reasonably big 4,500mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging.

There’s no official word yet on the Malaysian launch of the Nothing Phone 1. But given that the phone has been registered with SIRIM already, we reckon it’s only a matter of time before it’s launched on our shores.
