No, You Won’t Be Fined RM1,500 For Not Checking Out in MySejahtera

Recently, a viral WhatsApp message claims that a RM1,500 fine will be imposed on individuals who fail to “check out” using the updated MySejahtera app. Well, fret not: the Ministry of Health (MOH) confirmed that this is not true.

MOH shared dispelled this rumour through its social media pages. However, even though a RM1,500 fine will not be imposed, it’s best to check out whenever you leave a premise or location with the MySejahtera app. After all, this feature was implemented to improve contract tracing.

In order to check out, you won’t need to scan any MySejahtera QR code again. All you have to do is to just hit the check out button right below the name of the premise or location. Do note that once you’ve checked in to a new premise, you will be automatically checked out of the previous location.

The new MySejahtera update is now available on the Apple App StoreGoogle Play Store, and Huawei AppGallery. If you don’t see the check out feature yet, make sure the app is updated to the latest version.
