As promised, Guerrilla Games’ latest title, Horizon Forbidden West, is now available for pre-order. Just like other recent PlayStation exclusive games, the Standard Edition of Forbidden West costs RM249 and RM299 for the PS4 and PS5 respectively, and there’s no free upgrade either.
Basically, if you purchase the PS4 or PS5 version of Horizon Forbidden West, you can only access the game on the respective platform. “For players looking to have access to both the PS4 and PS5 versions of Horizon Forbidden West, please purchase the Digital Deluxe, Collector’s, or Regalla Edition,” said Guerrilla Games.
With that said, you’ll only have access to Horizon Forbidden West on the PS4 and PS5 if you purchase either one of these three versions of the game. The studio added that this “dual entitlement” does not apply to the Standard or Special Edition copy of Forbidden West – keep this in mind if you own both the PS4 and PS5.
Anyway, for the Malaysian market, only the digital versions are confirmed so far. Aside from the aforementioned Standard Edition for the PS4 (RM249) and PS5 (RM299), there’s also the Digital Deluxe Edition which costs RM339. Not only does this copy of the game gives players access to the game on the PS4 and PS5, it has a number of add-ons too.
These include two special outfits, two special weapons, an in-game resource pack, an Apex Clawstrider Machine Strike Piece, exclusive Photo Mode pose and face paint, as well as digital versions of the art book, soundtrack, and The Sunhawk graphic novel based on the original Horizon Zero Dawn game.
Unfortunately, physical editions of Horizon Forbidden West – including the Standard, Special Edition, Collector’s Edition, and Regalla Edition above – have not been revealed yet. Rest assured, we’ll keep an eye for any local retailer that are taking orders for these physical copies of the game.
Horizon Forbidden West launches on the PS5 and PS4 on 18 February 2022.
