Alongside the launch of the REDMI Note 15 Series and the Mijia Smart Audio Glasses, Xiaomi has also expanded its local lineup of smart home appliances. One of the more interesting additions is the Xiaomi Semi-automatic Espresso Machine, aimed at those looking to dip their toes into home espresso without breaking the bank.

At its core is a 20-bar pump designed to deliver consistent pressure through the coffee puck, helping to extract richer flavours from ground coffee beans. This is paired with NTC real-time temperature control to maintain stable brewing temperatures, a key factor in pulling a decent shot of espresso.

For milk-based drinks, the machine is equipped with an 8mm rotary steam wand, allowing users to froth milk and create foam for things like lattes and cappuccinos. Operation is kept intentionally simple, with a capacitive touch control panel on the front that should feel approachable for beginners while still offering enough control for casual enthusiasts.

The compact design is another highlight here. Measuring just 14cm in width, the espresso machine takes up very little counter space, making it easy to fit into smaller kitchens.
