Leapmotor C10 EV Receives RM10,000 Discount for CNY 2025
January 16, 2025 Andrew Cheng

In conjunction with the upcoming Lunar New Year, Stellantis Malaysia is running a generous promotion on the Leapmotor C10. Two different packages are offered for the large D-segment electric SUV, and both of them are valued at RM10,000.

The first package for the Leapmotor C10 offers three different items: a charging wallbox (worth RM3,000), RM2,000 charging credits, and RM5,000 worth of insurance support. As for the second package, it’s a simple RM10,000 cash rebate, lowering the price of the RM159,000 electric SUV to RM149,000. These two packages are offered until 28 February 2025.

Measuring 4,739mm long, 1,900mm wide, and 1,680 mm tall with a wheelbase of 2,825mm, the C10 is roughly the size of the Proton X90. However, it’s worth noting that it is a five-seater SUV, while the X90 is either a seven- or six-seater vehicle.

Aside from that, powering the C10 is a rear-mounted electric motor that produces 160kW (218PS) and 320Nm of torque, allowing it to go from 0-100kmph in 7.5 seconds. This is really quite respectable for an electric SUV as heavy (it weighs 1,980kg) and as big as the C10.

In terms of range, the C10 is said to offer up to 424km of WLTP range on a single charge, and it can be recharged from 30% to 80% battery in 30 minutes with 84kW DC charging. As for AC charging, it is limited to 6.6 kW, where it takes 6.1 hours to get the same level of charge.

It’s worth noting that the suspension of the C10 sold for export markets – in this case, Malaysia – is tuned by Stellantis’ chassis tuning team at Balocco, Italy. That is where Maserati has its proving ground, so some folks are saying that the C10 is – to a certain extent – tuned by Maserati.

To recap, the RM10,000 Lunar New Year promotion on the Leapmotor C10 – which is offered in the sole RM159,000 Design variant for the Malaysian market – is valid until 28 February next month. You can visit your nearest authorised Leapmotor dealership to place a booking for the electric SUV.
