At last weekend’s Predator League 2025, several new gaming laptops from the Taiwanese company were showcased at the esports tournament. These include the Predator Helios 16 AI, Predator Helios 18 AI, and the all-new Predator Helios Neo 16S AI; all of which feature Nvidia’s latest RTX 50 series GPUs. According to Acer Malaysia, these gaming machines will be coming to Malaysia in Q2 2025.
Of the three gaming laptops, what caught our eyes is the Helios Neo 16S AI. Measuring only 19.9mm at its thickest point, it’s quite a thin gaming machine. Despite its slim chassis, the Helios Neo 16S still has some beefy hardware, including an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti GPU, an Intel Core Ultra 7 255HX or Ultra 9 275HX processor, and a 16-inch 2560 x 1600 OLED panel with either 240Hz or 165Hz refresh rate.

Next, we have the Helios 16 AI, which can be configured with either an RTX 5090 or RTX 5070 Ti GPU. It also features a Core Ultra 9 275HX processor and a 16-inch 2560 x 1600 OLED display with 240Hz refresh rate. Of course, the OLED panel features Nvidia G-Sync technology as well.
Last but not least is the Helios 18 AI. The GPU options are either an RTX 5090 or RTX 5080, while the processor is a Core Ultra 9 275HX chip. Interestingly, it has two different display options: there’s the sharper 18-inch 4K mini-LED panel with 120Hz refresh rate, or a faster 18-inch 2560 x 1600 mini-LED screen with 250Hz refresh rate; both panel options feature Nvidia G-Sync.

To recap, the Predator Helios 16 AI, Helio 18 AI, and Helios Neo 16S AI will be coming to Malaysia sometime in the second quarter of 2025. With that in mind, these gaming laptops could be launched here as early as April 2025.
