Official: Samsung Galaxy Ring Coming to Malaysia February 2025
January 14, 2025 Andrew Cheng

Well, it’s official: the Samsung Galaxy Ring is indeed coming to Malaysia – along with 14 other new markets – after appearing in SIRIM’s database a couple of weeks ago. According to Samsung, the smart ring will be offered on our shores sometime in February 2025, so perhaps it will be made available alongside the new Galaxy S25 series that is launching globally next week.

Aside from the 15 additional markets (including Malaysia) that will be getting the Galaxy Ring, two new larger sizes (14 and 15) are also added for a total of 11 sizes that range from 5 to 15. A quick check on SIRIM shows that two additional models of the Galaxy Ring have been registered just today, so we should be getting all 11 size options too.

The Galaxy Ring is said to designed for 24/7 health monitoring, and it does seem very interesting. Not only does it offer up to seven days of battery life, it also has a slew of sensors – accelerometer, PPG for heart rate tracking, and skin temperature – for health monitoring and sleep analysis. It also supports double pinch gesture controls, which can be used to snap a picture or dismiss an alarm.

To recap, the Samsung Galaxy Ring is set to be available in Malaysia sometime in February 2025, though no specific date was revealed. The local asking price of the smart ring has not been detailed yet either, but rest assured, we’ll be keeping a close eye on the local availability of the Galaxy Ring.
