Samsung Galaxy Ring Set to Launch in Malaysia Soon?
January 3, 2025 Andrew Cheng

Back when the Samsung Galaxy Ring was unveiled in July last year, we were told at the time that the smart ring won’t be coming to Malaysia. Well, this looks to have changed; we have good reasons to believe that the Galaxy Ring will be (officially) sold in Malaysia very soon.

As usual, we were searching through SIRIM’s database when we came across the Galaxy Ring. It was registered under Samsung Malaysia with nine different model numbers just today on 3 January. Chances are, the various model numbers denote different sizes of the smart ring.

The Galaxy Ring is said to designed for 24/7 health monitoring, and it does look very interesting. Not only does it offer up to seven days of battery life, it also has a slew of sensors – accelerometer, PPG for heart rate tracking, and skin temperature – for health monitoring and sleep analysis. It also supports double pinch gesture controls, which can be used to snap a picture or dismiss an alarm.

At the time of writing, it remains to be seen exactly when the Samsung Galaxy Ring will be launched in Malaysia. But given that it has been certified by SIRIM already, we expect the smart ring to be offered on our shores in the very near future – we’ll be sure to keep a close eye on the local availability of the Galaxy Ring.
