After much rumours and leaks, the 2025 Tesla Model Y “Juniper” facelift is finally here. The updated electric SUV looks to take some design inspirations from the Cybertruck, and it is now available for order in Malaysia too, with deliveries set to commence in late April.
Given that it is a facelifted model, it’s no surprise that the new Model Y sees a price bump in Malaysia. The base RWD model is priced at RM195,450 (up from RM191,000), while the Long Range AWD variant costs RM242,450 (up from RM238,000). However, it’s worth noting that these prices are still lower than the launch pricing of the Model Y early last year.

The biggest visual changes to the Model Y facelift are the full-width headlights and taillight. Tesla says that the updated SUV is now more efficient too, thanks to the redesigned exterior. Even the suspension, wheels, and tyres have been updated to offer a smoother, quieter ride.
As its name suggests, the new Model Y in Long Range AWD trim offers the longest range of the two available models; it’s said to offer up to 551km of WLTP range on a single charge. It can also sprint from 0-100kmph in 4.3 seconds to a top speed of 201kmph. As for the base RWD model, it has up to 466km WLTP range, a 0-100kmph time of 5.9 seconds, and the same 210kmph top speed as the Long Range AWD model.

To recap, the Tesla Model Y facelift is now available for order in Malaysia with a RM195,450 starting price. Local deliveries of the new electric SUV are expected to start sometime in late April.
