Acer Swift 14 AI With AMD Ryzen AI 300 Chip Coming to Malaysia Soon
December 20, 2024 Andrew Cheng

Initially teased at Computex 2024, the Acer Swift 14 AI powered by the AMD Ryzen AI 300 chip looks to be coming to Malaysia soon. It’s similar in design to the Intel version of the thin, lightweight laptop, with the main difference being the processor powering the Swift 14.

As usual, we were going through SIRIM’s database when we came across the Swift 14 AI with the model number N24C3; it was registered under Acer Malaysia just yesterday on 19 December. After some digging, we linked this model number to the SF14-61 variant of the Swift 14 AI, which is powered by an AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 chip.

The Ryzen AI 300 series of processors are quite interesting. Based on the chipmaker’s Zen 5 CPU architecture, the new processors feature AMD XDNA 2 technology as well, providing 50+ NPU TOPS of AI processing performance. This allows users to “deploy AI capabilities locally and run generative AI applications, large language models, and AI assistants,” as Acer puts it.

Now that the Acer Swift 14 AI with AMD Ryzen AI 300 chip has been registered with SIRIM already, we reckon the productivity laptop will be offered in Malaysia very, very soon. Rest assured, we will keep a close eye on the local availability of the AMD-powered laptop.
