Xiaomi Opens Store in IPC Shopping Centre – Directly Managed by Xiaomi Malaysia
December 16, 2024 Andrew Cheng

There’s a new Xiaomi Store in IPC Shopping Centre, Petaling Jaya, and what makes it particularly interesting is the fact that this is (technically) Xiaomi Malaysia’s first store. Unlike existing retail outlets that are run by the brand’s distributors, this store is directly managed by Xiaomi Malaysia itself.

Naturally, it is quite a sizeable store, and it has over 300 Xiaomi products on display. These range from smartphones to smart home products, “providing accessibility of amazing products with honest prices,” as Xiaomi Malaysia puts it.

To celebrate the launch of the new Xiaomi Store, customers who make purchases above RM500 can earn a lucky draw entry until 1 January 2025. The lucky draw prizes include a Xiaomi TV A Pro 55, a Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4 Pro, and even a Xiaomi Smart Air Fryer.

“Opening a Xiaomi Store that is fully operated and managed by Xiaomi enhances our strategy for ‘Human x Car x Home’ experience. With the support of our in-house trained team, this store aims to provide a more holistic experience to our customers, allowing them to explore and interact with our products even better. We hope that our Malaysian customers will get to learn more about our products first-hand in our stores,” said the General Manager of Xiaomi Southeast Asia, Alex Tang.

The Country Manager of Xiaomi Malaysia and Singapore, Eddie Huang, was also present at the store’s official launch. “We are excited to open our newest Xiaomi Store in Malaysia. This marks a significant milestone for us as we embark on this new journey in managing a store, and continue to expand our presence and commitment to providing cutting-edge technology and exceptional customer service. Our goal is to make innovative technology accessible to everyone, and this new store is a testament to that vision,” he said.
