Honda Malaysia just opened bookings for the 2025 Honda Civic facelift! In the same press release, the Japanese carmaker also revealed that over 28,000 units of the 11th gen Civic have been sold in Malaysia since its release in 2022, putting it at the top of the non-national C-segment market.
In fact, the brand mentioned that the Civic has been the C-segment sedan leader for eight consecutive years since 2016, “holding a commanding 70% market share as of October 2024.” Evidently, the Civic remains a popular choice in our local market.
So what’s new with the facelifted Civic? Naturally, it gets an updated exterior, including a honeycomb grille for the range-topping e:HEV RS trim. The hybrid model also gets new 18-inch allow wheels in Matte Grey, which look rather striking.
Under the hood, the e:HEV RS Civic soldiers on with the 2.0L e:HEV powertrain that has a maximum power output of 184PS and 315Nm of torque. The petrol RS, on the other hand, is powered by a 1.5L VTEC turbocharged engine that delivers 182PS and 240Nm of torque. Chances are, this engine will also be used by other petrol variants of the sedan.
