It looks like Xiaomi will be launching a new EV next year. As reported by CarNewsChina, the Chinese company’s next EV will be an electric SUV in the form of the Xiaomi YU7, and it looks to be a rather powerful EV that can produce 508kW (691PS) of power.
That amount of power comes from the YU7’s dual-motor setup. The total 508kW output is produced from the front (220kW) and rear (288kW) motors, allowing the electric SUV to hit a top speed of 253kmph. However, no torque figure was given, unfortunately enough.

Nonetheless, we do have the dimensions of the YU7. Measuring 4,999mm long, 1,996mm wide, and 1,600mm tall, Xiaomi’s electric SUV is quite a bit longer and wider than the Tesla Model Y. The YU7 also has a longer 3,000mm wheelbase over the Model Y’s 2,891mm wheelbase.
The Xiaomi YU7 is expected to be launched sometime in June to July 2025 next year. Xiaomi’s CEO, Lei Jun, previously revealed that the company’s EV business will be focused solely on the Chinese market until 2028, so with that in mind, we probably won’t see the YU7 hit international markets anytime soon.
