The MG Cyberster has just been launched in Malaysia! Not only is the final asking price of the electric roadster (RM319,900) quite a bit lower than the RM350,000 estimate, the EV also comes with a slew of goodies, including a complimentary 7kW wallbox charger.
However, it’s worth noting that the wallbox charger does not include installation. Nonetheless, aside from the 7kW charger, the Cyberster also comes with a seven-year/150,000km vehicle warranty, eight-year/180,000km battery warranty, eight-year/160,000 drive motor and motor control unit warranty, as well as one-year unlimited charging with JomCharge; the convenient AutoCharge feature is also enabled for the roadster.
Performance wise, the sole dual-motor all-wheel-drive variant of the Cyberster offers a total output of 375kW (503PS) and 725Nm of torque. This allows the electric roadster to go from 0-100kmph in only 3.2 seconds to a top speed of 210kmph.
Given how much power the Cyberster offers, it’s impressive that the EV’s 77kWh battery can still offer up to 446km of range as measured on the stringent WLTP standard. DC charging is rated at 150kW for a 10% to 80% charge time of 38 minutes, though AC charging is quite a bit slower at 7kW, taking approximately 10.5 hours (!) to achieve a 10% to 100% charge.
Styling wise, the Cyberster features a broad, low-profile silhouette with a retractable soft top. It also has electric frameless scissor doors, 20-inch alloy wheels, and red brake calipers to complete the sporty-appeal of the electric roadster. Naturally, the Cyberster features MG Pilot ADAS too, which include adaptive cruise control and lane keeping assistance.
The MG Cyberster can now be booked in Malaysia for RM319,900. If you want to see the electric roadster in person, you can do so at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) 2024 from 5 to 11 December at MITEC, Kuala Lumpur.
