JomCharge Now Supports AutoCharge, But Only for Chery & GAC Aion Owners
June 10, 2024 Andrew Cheng

EV Connection (EVC), the company behind JomCharge, just launched a new feature dubbed AutoCharge. As its name suggests, AutoCharge simplifies the EV charging process; users only need to plug the charger to their electric vehicle to start charging, with payment automatically billed to the linked payment card in the JomCharge app.

If this feature sounds familiar, it should be: AutoCharge was actually first offered to early owners of the Chery Omoda E5. Speaking of which, as of this moment, AutoCharge is only offered to Chery and GAC Aion owners, though EVC is actively working to get other carmakers to support the feature as well.

Currently, over 200 JomCharge charging points support AutoCharge. The JomCharge app itself will show chargers that support the feature, and alternatively, you can also look for the AutoCharge sticker on the charger itself. However, do note that only DC chargers support the feature for now.

If you’ve got an EV from Chery or GAC Aion, you can enable the AutoCharge feature at your nearest JomCharge DC charger. EVC also prepared a step-by-step guide in the video above if you want a more detailed look at the registration process.
