Perodua is set to show off its latest EV prototype at this week’s Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) 2024 from 5 to 11 December. Dubbed Perodua EMO-II, the concept model looks to be quite fleshed out with a rather aggressive, futuristic-looking design language.
Compared to the emo-1 concept EV, which is based on the ever-popular Myvi, the EMO-II looks distinctively different. In fact, it looks very much like the first-ever Perodua EMO concept the national carmaker showed off back at Malaysia Autoshow 2023. Yes, it is still retaining the hatchback body style.
It will be interesting to see if Perodua will share technical figures of the EMO-II at KLIMS 2024. If the carmaker is maintaining the same specifications as the emo-1, the EMO-II may have a (targeted) range of up to 400km and a 0-100kmph time of 7 to 9 seconds.
It’s worth noting that Perodua’s first EV will be an in-house development, and it will not be using any existing model as a basis. If you’re keen to see the national carmaker’s latest EMO-II EV concept in person, you can do so at KLIMS 2024 from 5 to 11 December at MITEC, Kuala Lumpur.
