It appears Apple will not be doing a formal event for its next range of Mac products. Apple SVP Greg Joswiak just confirmed “an exciting week of announcements ahead” focusing on the Mac lineup, with the first announcement slated for Monday morning.

Chances are, we’re looking at new M4-powered Mac products. The M4 chip first made its debut in the latest iPad Pro, which was unveiled back in May. Based on previous leaks and rumours, it is likely the MacBook Pro laptops will be getting the new M4 chip; perhaps in Pro and Max configurations too.

Beyond the MacBook Pro lineup, Apple is expected to update the iMac and Mac mini with the new M4 chip too. The latter is said to be getting a redesign as well, which may shrink the compact desktop to the size of an Apple TV. As for the MacBook Air, it remains to be seen if Apple’s more affordable laptops will also get the M4 upgrade.

Rest assured, we will keep a close eye on any relevant news, especially in regard to the Malaysian availability and pricing of the products. Perhaps Malaysia will be one of the first markets to get the new Mac machines, just like the iPhone 16 series.
