It appears the latest iPad Pro and iPad Air are now more affordable in Malaysia. First spotted by Amanz, the 2024 iPad Pro with M4 chip and the M2-powered iPad Air receive different price revisions; the starting price of the former has even been reduced by up to RM1,000.

Before the price revision, the 11-inch iPad Pro starts at RM5,299 and RM6,299 for the WiFi-only and cellular variants respectively. Now, the two tablets are priced from RM4,499 and RM5,399 respectively. The larger 13-inch iPad Pro, on the other hand, now retails from RM5,899 (WiFi) and RM6,799 (cellular), which is a price cut of RM900 and RM1,000 respectively.

As for the iPad Air, the base 11-inch model is now priced from RM2,599 (RM400 less) for the WiFi-only model, going up to RM3,299 (RM450 less) for the cellular version. As for the larger 13-inch iPad Air, it now starts at RM3,499 and RM4,199 – down from RM3,999 and RM4,749 – for the WiFi-only and cellular models respectively.

Of the two tablets, the new iPad Pro is naturally the more powerful machine. The M4 chip under its hood features 4 performance cores with 6 efficiency cores, which is said to be 50% faster than M2 in the previous iPad Pro. The M4 is more power-efficient as well, being able to match the performance of the M2 at only half the power.

As for the updated iPad Air, it is powered by the Apple M2 chip. Apple says that this makes the tablet 50% faster than the M1 iPad Air; three times faster when compared to the A14 Bionic model. Aside from that, both the iPad Air and iPad Pro support the Apple Pencil Pro too. A new squeeze gesture has been added to the stylus that can bring up a menu, and it has haptic feedback as well.

To recap, the starting prices of the 2024 iPad Air and iPad Pro in Malaysia have been reduced to RM2,599 and RM4,499 respectively. These new prices are reflected on Apple Malaysia’s online store.
