We’ve got quite a number of news for Monster Hunter Wilds today. Not only did Capcom announce an open beta test for the upcoming game, a limited edition DualSense controller and a sleek all-black PS5 cover based on the latest Monster Hunter game have also been unveiled.
Unfortunately, for us here in Malaysia, we’re only getting the Monster Hunter Wilds DualSense controller; the PS5 cover looks to be offered in certain Asian markets only. Of course, that includes Japan, where it is sold for 9,980 Japanese yen – that comes up to about RM285.

Anyway, for us here in Malaysia, the Monster Hunter Wilds DualSense controller will be available for pre-order locally come 22 November. Priced at a cool RM419, which is slightly higher than the RM399 limited edition Astro Bot controller, it will hit store shelves next year on 28 February 2025. This coincides with the release of the game itself.
Circling back to the open beta test of Monster Hunter Wilds, PlayStation Plus users can get early access to the test from 29 October (11AM) to 31 October (10:59AM). If you’re not a PS Plus member, you can participate in the beta test from 1 November (11AM) to 4 November (10:59AM) instead.
