In conjunction with the launch of Astro Bot on 6 September later this year, PlayStation is releasing a rather sleek-looking (and limited edition) DualSense controller based on the game. Compared to previous limited edition DualSense models, the Astro Bot Limited Edition controller has some unique features.
The blue accents on the handles, for example, look to feature a glossy finish instead of the usual matte surface. On top of that, the special edition DualSense has “carved-in, sci-fi lines” as well. Of course, priced at RM399 in Malaysia, it also costs slightly more than the standard DualSense.
We had the opportunity to try out a rather extensive demo of Astro Bot earlier this month, and it’s really quite an entertaining platformer. The controls feel great, there are plenty of secret areas to explore on over 50 different planets, and the graphics are gorgeous as well.
Pre-orders of the Astro Bot Limited Edition DualSense controller will begin 9 August next week in Malaysia, and it will hit store shelves on 6 September to coincide with the launch of Astro Bot. To recap, the special edition controller retails at RM399, and it is offered in limited quantities.
