Proton e.MAS 7 Infotainment System Detailed – 15.4″ Screen, Integrated Charging Map
October 18, 2024 Andrew Cheng

Proton is revealing more details on the Proton e.MAS 7! This time around, it is the interior of the C-segment electric SUV; more specifically, the car’s infotainment system – which features a sizeable 15.4-inch display – and even the audio system.

These details on the e.MAS 7 are all revealed on Proton e.MAS’ Instagram account through several stories and Instagram Reels. The 15.4-inch centre display, for one, has a 2.5K resolution, while the WANOS 16-speaker audio system – with Meizu’s Flyme Sound branding to boot – comes complete with headrest speakers.

It’s worth noting that these features mirror that of the Geely Galaxy E5, but there are some differences here. For one, the e.MAS 7 will have an integrated charging map, though this is not shown in the video. Besides that, the Proton EV also has a black interior instead of the E5’s cream colour scheme.

Now, given that the particular e.MAS 7 shown by Proton in the video is a prototype unit, there’s a good chance the infotainment system is still a work in progress. With that in mind, there could be changes leading up to the final version of the EV. Perhaps Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support will be added then, which looks to be missing from the previewed infotainment system.

As Proton have previously announced, the Proton e.MAS 7 will make its debut sometime in December 2024. Ahead of the EV’s launch, the e.MAS 7 is currently on a tour around Malaysia; the electric SUV is heading to Pahang, Terengganu, and Kelantan this week.
