Time for another weekly fuel price update. Prices of RON 97 and diesel are maintained from 10 to 16 October next week at RM3.19/litre and RM2.95/litre respectively. Of course, RON 95 is kept at its ceiling price of RM2.05/litre as well.

It’s worth noting that the floating RM2.95/litre price for diesel is only in Peninsular Malaysia; the old RM2.15/litre price is still applicable in Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan. The government is floating the prices of diesel in Peninsular Malaysia now that the RM200/month diesel subsidy is underway.

To recap, the diesel subsidy under the government’s Budi programme offers a RM200/month diesel subsidy for Malaysians who are earning less than RM100,000 annually. They also must own a diesel-based personal vehicle that is less than 10 years old.

If you’re eligible for the RM200/month diesel subsidy, you can submit your application on https://budimadani.gov.my/. Do note that at the moment, applications will remain open throughout the year, so you won’t have to worry about missing any deadline until further notice.
