Apple has announced the date for its next big event, where the Cupertino company is likely unveiling the iPhone 16 lineup. Just like last year’s iPhone 15 series, four smartphones are expected: the base iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and of course, the iPhone 16 Pro Max.
Looking at the teaser for Apple’s “It’s Glowtime” event, there’s a good chance it is a reference to Siri empowered by the new Apple Intelligence. As previously revealed, Siri will have onscreen awareness in the upcoming iOS 18 release (for selected iPhone models) and an all-new design with an “elegant, glowing light that wraps around the edge of your screen,” as Apple puts it.
Aside from that, the base iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are said to feature a vertically aligned camera system on the back, while the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max may get even bigger displays. Oh, the Action Button, which made its debut on the Pro variants of the iPhone 15 lineup, may be offered on all iPhone 16 models now.
Beyond the iPhone 16 lineup, Apple is also expected to launch the Apple Watch Series 10 and two new AirPods. It’s shaping up to be quite an exciting launch event, and we’ll find out more come 10 September at 1AM for us here in Malaysia.
