Aside from the three main Pixel 9 smartphones, Google also introduced the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Now featuring a thinner design with a larger display, the foldable device is quite an improvement over last year’s Pixel Fold, though it is unlikely coming to Malaysia.

While the other Pixel 9 devices are listed on the local Google Store webpage – even the Pixel Watch 3 and Pixel Buds Pro 2 are there – the Pixel 9 Pro Fold is nowhere to be found. With that in mind, we don’t think the foldable phone will be offered in Malaysia, unfortunately enough.

Nonetheless, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold is an intriguing foldable smartphone. When unfolded, it measures only 5.1mm thin. It has a larger 6.3-inch 2424 x 1080 OLED cover display with 120Hz refresh rate as well, not to mention a sizeable 8-inch 2152 x 2076 OLED inner screen; also clocked at 120Hz, of course.

Other specifications of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold include a slew of AI features enabled by the Google Tensor G4 chip, a triple camera system (48MP primary + 10.5MP ultra-wide + 10.8MP telephoto), a 10MP selfie camera, a 10MP inner camera, as well as a 4,650mAh battery.

The Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold is now available for pre-order in selected markets, and it will hit store shelves at these locations on 4 September. In the US, the foldable phone starts at a cool $1,799, which comes up to about RM7,995.
