Intro Synergy, the sole distributor of Neta vehicles in Malaysia, has finally launched the Neta X after previewing the electric SUV back in May at Malaysia Autoshow 2024. Compared to the first Neta model to be sold in Malaysia (the Neta V), the X is a larger, more sophisticated EV.

Curiously, only three variants of the Neta X are available in Malaysia instead of four as previewed back in May. Nonetheless, the prices start at RM119,888 for the base 400 Comfort, going up to RM127,888 for the 400 Luxury. As for the range-topping 500 Luxury, it goes for RM135,888.

For that kind of money, the Neta X offers a front-mounted electric motor that outputs 163PS and 210Nm of torque for a 0-100kmph time of 9.5 seconds. It also has up to 401km (400 Comfort and 400 Luxury) or 480km (500 Luxury) of range, though this is based on the more lenient NEDC standard instead of WLTP.

In terms of active safety features, only the higher-end 500 Luxury variant gets ADAS. These include Intelligent Cruise Assist, Lane Keep Assist, Traffic Jam Assist, Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Warning, and Traffic Sign Recognition.

The Neta X is now available for booking in Malaysia from RM119,888. Early birds who place an order by the end of July 2024 will also get their RM1,000 booking fee doubled to RM2,000 – this is essentially a RM1,000 rebate – along with a choice of a complimentary wallbox charger or charging credits. To sweeten the deal even more, these early customers will also get free maintenance for the first two years or up to 40,000km on the electric SUV.
