Apple Maps is now available on the web! This is the largest expansion of the service yet, making it accessible to users without an Apple device. At the moment, Maps is offered in beta form, and Apple says that more features will be added in the coming months.
Users can access Apple Maps on a web browser through the beta.maps.apple.com site. For us here in Malaysia, the mapping service feels quite complete and polished despite being in beta form. Naturally, it offers driving and walking directions, and Look Around will also be available in the near future.

It’s worth noting that Apple is currently collecting maps data throughout Malaysia to improve Apple Maps while also adding support for the aforementioned Look Around feature. Initially started in November 2023, the data collection will end this month (July 2024).
At the moment, Apple Maps on the web is available in English. It is also compatible on Safari and Chrome on Mac and iPad, while Windows PC users can access the service on Chrome and Edge. Support for additional languages, browsers, and platforms for the web version of Apple Maps will be added over time.
