If you’re an RHB customer, good news: Visa cards from the bank can now be added to Google Wallet for the Google Pay feature here in Malaysia. Of course, this applies to both Visa credit and Visa debit cards issued by RHB.
Naturaly, RHB has prepared a neat step-by-step guide to add its range of Visa cards to Google Wallet on the bank’s official website along with the full list of supported cards. Do note that if you have a MasterCard instead from RHB, you won’t be able to add it to Google Wallet – well, not yet at least.
Once you have set up Google Wallet with an RHB Visa card on your Android phone, you can start making payments at retailers that accept the payment method. Basically, if a particular retailer has a card terminal, Google Pay should be supported.
To start using Google Pay on your Android phone, you have to download the Google Wallet app first – if it’s not installed on your phone already – from the Google Play Store. Other cards that support Google Wallet in Malaysia now are selected cards issued by Public Bank, HSBC, Hong Leong Bank, CIMB, and even Wise.
