Launched back in June, Proton revealed that the 2024 Proton X50 has received over 8,000 bookings in one month. To meet demands for the refreshed B-segment SUV, the national carmaker will be ramping up production of the X50 accordingly.

Proton further added that the delivery timeline of the new X50 is set for August 2024. On top of that, the first 5,000 customers who are entitled for the early bird promotion on the SUV – which offers up to RM8,500 worth of discounts – will be receiving it.

As of June 2024, over 115,262 units of the X50 have been delivered; evidently, it is a popular SUV. “We are thrilled to see such exceptional booking numbers in the first month alone, which demonstrates the strong appeal of the 2024 Proton X50. This reaffirms our commitment to delivering outstanding value and quality to our customers,” said the CEO of Proton Edar, Roslan Abdullah.

“We understand the excitement and anticipation surrounding the 2024 Proton X50, and we want to assure our customers that we are doing everything possible to meet their expectations,” he added.

Looking forward, Proton is expected to be releasing the “heavily revised” 2025 Proton X70 in the near future. There’s also the national carmaker’s very first EV, which is set to be unveiled sometime in December 2024- we believe the electric model will be dubbed the Proton e.MAS7.
