The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 is finally here. Although there is no radical change to the design of the phone – aside from the more squared-off chassis that is slimmer and lighter – there are some significant changes to the software experience. More specifically, an enhanced version of Galaxy AI.
Compared to Galaxy AI on the Galaxy S24 series, the Z Fold 6 gets even more features. These include Composer to generate text based on simple prompts, a new conversation mode in the Interpreter app, and Sketch to Image, which can generate AI images from…well, sketches.
Hardware wise, there are no radical changes to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 beyond the usual upgrades. It is now powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, and as mentioned, the sides are now squared-off for a more ergonomic design. Unfortunately, the S Pen is still not built into the phone.
Other specifications of the Z Fold 6 include a 7.6-inch 2160 x 1856 Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, a 6.3-inch 2376 x 968 Dynamic AMOLED 2X cover screen – also with 120Hz adaptive refresh rate – a triple camera system (50MP primary + 12MP ultra-wide + 10MP telephoto), a 10MP selfie camera, a 4MP under display camera, and a 4,400mAh battery.
Oh, the phone is also rated IP48 now; an upgrade over the IPX8 rating of the Z Fold 5.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 is now available for pre-order in Malaysia, though the local pricing of the foldable phone has not been revealed yet. Nonetheless, we expect Samsung Malaysia to reveal the Malaysian pricing of the Z Fold 6 very, very soon.
