Diesel Now Set at RM3.35/Litre in Peninsular Malaysia
June 10, 2024 Andrew Cheng

Now that the RM200/month diesel subsidy is underway, the government is floating the prices of diesel in Peninsular Malaysia. Starting from today (10 June), diesel is set at RM3.35 per litre. Prior to this, the fuel was priced at RM2.15 per litre.

Do note that the RM3.35/litre pricing should be for Euro 5 B10 and B20 diesel. Euro 5 B7 diesel, which was previously priced at 20 sen more than the former two, should go for RM3.55/litre now. Do note that the new diesel pricing is only applicable in Peninsular Malaysia for now. Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan residents can still enjoy the old RM2.15/litre price for diesel.

To recap, the diesel subsidy under the government’s Budi programme offers a RM200/month diesel subsidy for Malaysians who are earning less than RM100,000 annually. They also must own a diesel-based personal vehicle that is less than 10 years old.

If you’re eligible for the RM200/month diesel subsidy, you can submit your application on https://budimadani.gov.my/. Do note that at the moment, applications will remain open throughout the year, so you won’t have to worry about missing any deadline until further notice.
