Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Launches New EQE Sedan & EQE SUV – EVs From RM379,888
May 23, 2024 Andrew Cheng

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia just launched a total of four new EVs locally. These include the Mercedes-Benz EQE 350+ Sedan in Electric Art Line and AMG Line variants, as well as the EQE 350+ SUV; also in the Electric Art Line and AMG Line trims. The new EQE sedan is particularly interesting, as it is the more affordable electric sedan offered by Mercedes-Benz on our shores other than the higher-end EQS Sedan.

Mercedes-Benz EQE Sedan

Priced from RM379,888, the EQE 350+ Electric Art Line is the most affordable model of the four EVs introduced today. For that kind of money, it offers a rear electric motor that outputs 292hp and 565Nm of torque; good for a 0-100kmph time of 6.4 seconds. It also has up to 682km of WLTP range from its 90.56kWh battery, which can be charged up from 10% to 80% in 32 minutes with 170kW DC charging.

It’s worth noting that all EQE models launched today feature 22kW AC charging as well, which can recharge their respective batteries from 0% to 100% in four hours and 45 minutes.

Moving up the price range is the RM429,888 AMG Line variant of the EQE 350+ Sedan. It has basically the same specifications as the Electric Art Line, though it has additional equipment including a panoramic sunroof, Airmatic air suspension, and rear axle steering.

And then we have two new variants of the Mercedes-Benz EQE 350+ SUV, which joins the existing EQE 500 4Matic SUV AMG Line. Just like their respective sedan counterparts, the EQE 350+ SUV Electric Art Line (RM398,888) and AMG Line (RM448,888) have similar specifications. However, as these are taller, heavier electric SUVs, they do have lower WLTP range of up to 596km with a 0-100kmph time of 6.7 seconds.

What differentiates the Electric Art Line model from the AMG Line variant of the EQE Sedan are a number of equipment, as usual. The AMG Line SUV has a panoramic sunroof, Airmatic air suspension, and rear axle steering, along with 20-inch AMG light-alloy wheels.

The new Mercedes-Benz EQE Sedan and EQE SUV are now available for order in Malaysia. Local deliveries of the EQE Sedan will start immediately, while the EQE SUV will be delivered to customers from June 2024 next month.
