Mercedes-Benz Malaysia recently launched a new electric SUV on our shores. The Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV, offered in the sole EQE 500 4Matic variant locally, has a respectable range of up to 552km on the WLTP cycle, along with a dual motor setup.
For the Malaysian market, the EQE 500 4Matic is priced at a cool RM485,888; that’s on-the-road pricing without insurance, with 10% sales tax included. For that kind of money, the EV has the aforementioned range of up to 552km with its 90.56kWh battery.
In terms of charging speeds, the EQE 500 4Matic can draw up to 170kW of power when connected to a DC charger, allowing it to be charged from 0-80% in only 32 minutes. The electric SUV is also equipped with a 22kW AC onboard charger that enables it to be fully charged via AC charging in four hours and 45 minutes.
Performance wise, the EQE 500 4Matic’s dual motor setup has a combined output of 408hp and 858Nm of torque; it can go from 0-100kmph in only 4.9 seconds with a top speed of 210kmph. On top of that, the SUV has an Airmatic air suspension system as well.
