Surprise surprise, it looks like Proton will be showing off the Proton S70 “R3 Concept” at the upcoming Malaysia Autoshow 2024. But unlike the Proton X50 R3 20th Anniversary Edition, it looks like the S70 is getting a much more elaborate R3 treatment.

The Proton S70 R3 Concept is shown off in a video posted by tinkeringrover on TikTok. She looks to be at the Proton booth within MAEPS Serdang itself, which is where the Malaysia Autoshow will be taking place from 22 to 26 May later this week.

But judging by the elaborate redesign the Proton S70 R3 Concept in comparison to the standard version, it doesn’t look to be a limited edition model that will be offered for sale. Chances are, this is the car that will be participating in the Sepang 1000km (S1K) endurance race, though this is only an educated guess on our part.

Nonetheless, we’ll find out more about the Proton S70 R3 Concept once the Malaysia Autoshow 2024 opens its doors later this week from 22 to 26 May. Of course, we will be there to see what the event has to offer; expect plenty of new cars to be showcased there.
