2024 Honda City Hatchback Facelift Official – 5 Variants, ADAS Standard, From RM86k
May 16, 2024 Andrew Cheng

The new Honda City Hatchback has just been launched in Malaysia! Bookings for the B-segment hatchback were opened locally just a few weeks ago, and as previously revealed, all models now feature Honda Sensing ADAS. Of course, this also comes with a price increase across the range.

Just like the pre-facelift City Hatchback, five different variants are offered. There’s the range-topping e:HEV RS hybrid (RM112,900); petrol RS (RM100,900), which replaces the previous V-Sensing model; V (RM95,900); E (RM90,900); and S (RM85,900). Honda Malaysia also added that it aims to sell 900 units of the hatchback every month.

While Honda Sensing is now offered on all variants of the facelifted City Hatchback, only the highest-end e:HEV RS model gets a more complete version of the ADAS. It is the only variant to get Low Speed Follow (LSF), which should come in handy when you’re stuck in heavy traffic. Beyond that, the facelift has updated stylings as well; the model pictured here is the aforementioned e:HEV RS version.

Not only does the updated City Hatchback in e:HEV RS form has a honeycomb grille now, it also has new 16-inch alloy wheels in Berlina Black. Of course, given that this is a facelift model, powertrain options remain the same. The hybrid RS model has a Multi-Mode Drive (i-MMD) powertrain that delivers 109PS and 253Nm of torque out of an electric motor, while the other four petrol models soldier on with the 1.5L DOHC i-VTEC engine (121PS/145Nm) paired to a CVT.

Besides that, it’s worth noting that for the very first time, the Honda Connect telematics system can be purchased as an add-on for non-RS trims of the City Hatchback facelift. Naturally, the feature is standard for the e:HEV RS and petrol RS models.

The new Honda City Hatchback is now available for booking in Malaysia. To recap, prices for the B-segment hatchback starts at RM85,900 for the base S model, going up to RM90,900 for the E trim. The V version goes for RM95,900, while the petrol RS variant is priced at RM100,900. As for the range-topping e:HEV RS hybrid, it costs RM112,900.
