Introduced alongside the new iPad Pro and iPad Air tablets are two accessories: the Apple Pencil Pro and a new Magic Keyboard. Naturally, the revamped Pencil is compatible with both tablets, though the Magic keyboard only works with the new M4-powered 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Pro models.
For the Malaysian market, the Apple Pencil Pro is priced at RM599; that’s the exact same price as the 2nd generation version of the Pencil. As for the Magic Keyboard, it costs RM1,479 and RM1,699 for the 11-inch and 13-inch variants of the iPad Pro respectively.
The Apple Pencil Pro supports a new squeeze gesture that can bring up a tool palette to “quickly switch tools, line weights, and colours,” as Apple puts it. Users can “roll” the Pencil as well to change the orientation of shaped pen and brush tools. As for the new Magic Keyboard, it now sports an aluminium palm rest, a larger trackpad – complete with haptic feedback – and even a function row.
While the Malaysian pricing of the Apple Pencil Pro and new Magic Keyboard have been revealed, they are not available for purchase here yet, much like the new iPad Pro and iPad Air. Of course, we will keep a close eye on the local availabilities of these Apple products.
